Great piece. I’ve always loved ‘Christmas Wrapping’ and this year I finally appreciated how *great* it is. You’ve helped me to understand why it’s more relevant now than ever. Thank you.

Wonderful write-up. “Christmas Wrapping” is the rare holiday song I can enjoy year-round, with its propulsive bass line paving the way. The Waitresses have a terrific little catalog (under-appreciated on the whole) and every year I’m so happy they gave us this little seasonal treasure.

Love this, Annie. It is the best Christmas song ever. Nothing sickly sweet. No whinging about anything. Zero pining. It's a song about being tired with delivered with so much energy. Immediately, it puts a smile on my face and my body just can't not bop to it. (And, as a tween when it came out, I thought how badass she must be to be spending Christmas on her own *and* baking her own damn turkey! Ultra feminist, IMO.) Happy holidays! xo
