Thank you for a poignant commemoration of Clem Burke. Dreaming gets at it.
In 1979, I was a 26-year-old guy living in a Lakewood basement at the lowest point of my life. Lost. Dreaming was the only song that got me up off the couch and had me dancing by myself and my dreams. Those were generally positive, and they won the day. Clem Burke's drums powered me to do SOMETHING.
Dreaming is one of those fundamental songs in my life.
Brilliant performance by an all time great and, from what I have read over the years (including Kathy Valentine's outstanding autobiography) Clem Burke was a wonderful person.
Beautiful writing. Clem was the greatest<3 <3 <3
Well done. Thanks.
Perfectly said. Thank you...and thank you Clem.
